Güler is a demon on defense. His long arms and ever so active feet can turn life into hell for any opposing guard. He harassed opponents last year carrying Beşiktaş to the top of the Beko Basketball League and Final Eight in the ULEB Cup, and this year carried Efes in the final series forcing Willie Solomon into five turnovers per game. He is a great athlete and is unstoppable in the open court, but like many defensive specialists his half court offense is raw to say the least. But he improved his outside shooting to passable levels and he plays knowing his qualities and limitations. He brings much to the table and takes away almost nothing. The type of player every team, but especially Turkey needs. He will be the leader of the ball-pressure defense of Turkey.
