Robin Benzing is one of the fast-emerging young stars of Germany's much-improving youth system. He is an excellent shooter from the wing with good height and some driving ability and fine ball handling skills for his size. He left his home club Langen to join new national team-mate per Günther in Ulm. Though nearly a 7-footer, Benzing does not posses the power and body strength to take defenders into the blocks, making him much like the early versions of Dirk Nowitzki and Jan Jagla. Coming to EuroBasket will help him get implemented into the senior side, for which he will play a big role in the future.
