Sven Schultze helps teams a lot offensively as his height and versatility cause problems for defenders at both the forward positions. He can run the floor as well as hit the three-pointer consistently. He bounced back from an irregular heart beat which caused him to miss EuroBasket 2007 to play at the 2008 Olympics. With the absence of Dirk Nowitzki and Chris Kaman he can provide much needed veteran leadership as well as being one of the emotional leaders of this young team. He might not be the top-scorer of the team but coach Bauermann knows he can rely on him whet it gets rough.
