Boyd was a relative unknown after not playing at big level in Europe but was still handed a lot of responsibility and minutes. Soon fans appreciated why. He is a player that pushes hard on every single play, especially on the defensive end. Has the ability with his full court pressure defence to disrupt offences and regularly fights hard both through and around screens. Offensively the point guard has a complete grasp of what offence is being run and consistently executes. This is the main reason Finch has him in this team. He is quick with the ball, not afraid of contact when finishing at the basket, a good free throw shooter and can knock down open threes. You suddenly realise why Finch and now the fans like him.
