While having never quite cracked it in the very top European leagues, George remains an interesting player who Finch used consistently off the bench in qualifying to great effect. He has many qualities and not least his personality which drives other players around him. Athletic, energetic and well balanced in his approach to the game, George is a solid defensive player and can run the floor particularly well on the fast break. He showed he also has the ability to influence big games and his 15 points in the crunch game with Israel last summer was one of the most crucial contributions of the entire campaign. He should find his seat on the bench again and expect him to make an open shot from outside if the opportunity arises. |
