Team 2008-09: C.B. Granada (Spain-ACB) Career: Western Kentucky (NCAA, 1999-2003), Levski Sofia (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2003), KK Split (Croatia-A1, 2003-04), SLUC Nancy (France-Pro A, 2004-05), Tekelspor Istanbul (Turkey-TBL, 2005-06), Real Madrid (Spain-ACB, 2006), Caja San Fernando Sevilla (Spain ACB, 2006-07), F.C. Dunav Ruse (Bulgaria-Pro A, 2007-08), Solsonica Rieti (Italy-Lega, 2008) Videnov is the most prolific shooter of the team and one of its most dangerous offensive weapons. He proved it during the EuroBasket 2005 when he averaged more than 22 points per game - as well as last summer during the Qualifying Round. The 5 three-pointers he scored against Italy (out of 6 tries!) were the major factor in Bulgaria's surprise qualification. He's one the rare Bulgarian players to play outside of the country. Last season, he was one of the best shooters of the Liga ACB (40% from three-point land). An eye injury late in the season almost prevented him from playing this summer, but fortunately for Bulgaria he should be there to help his teammates advance as far as they can. |
