The 23-year-old Jomantas has Euroleague experience with Lithuanian giants Lietuvos rytas. While he has never played for the senior team, he is very familiar with Lithuania boss Ramunas Butautas. Jomantas was on four medal-winning sides coached by Butautas at various youth competition levels. A solid defender who can stand his ground even against taller and stronger opponents, Jomantas has learned how to use his strength in the paint and can be a handful when his team has the ball. If Jomantas wants to solidify his place in one of the deepest national sides in international basketball, he needs to be more of a consistent threat from outside. Jomantas averaged 13.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in the LKL last season, but will again have to battle to avoid being one of the last cut from the national team.
