With EuroBasket 2009 entering its final two days Saturday was the perfect opportunity to introduce some of the key players in the organization of EuroBasket 2011 to take place in Lithuania in two years time.

"It will have been a 72 year break since we hosted a EuroBasket in Lithuania," said Usackas.
"And we are working with the city mayors to assure that we organize the best possible championship."
Also present were the Vice-Mayor of Vilnius Gintautas Babravicius, the Mayor of Kaunas Audrius Kupcinskas, the Mayor of Siauliai Genadijus Miksys, the Mayor of Panevezys Povilas Vadopolas, and the President of the Lithuanian Basketball Federation Vladas Garastas.
"With every EuroBasket there must be improvement, this is the only way for us to grow," commented Zanolin.
"Right now all indications are that that we will have an even more successful EuroBasket in 2011."
The host cities for EuroBasket 2011 will be Vilnius, Kaunas, Klaipeda, Siauliai, Panevezys and Alytus.
