Unselfish team member Janis Blums has played the role of back-up point guard in the last few years for the national team as well as in club teams around Europe. His quickness and athleticism are great weapons as he can get into the lane and finish the play or dish the ball out to open teammates. He will always hustle until the final whistle. His career has improved step by step, and last season in Spain was one of his most successful - with good playing time and statistics in the ACB (19 minutes, 8.1 point per game) and in Eurocup as well. His experience at two previous EuroBaskets will help him to show his best in Poland.
