Club Team 2008-09: Utah Jazz (USA-NBA) and Utah Flash (USA-NBDL)
Career: Glen Oak High School, Ohio State University (USA-NCAA, 2007-08), Utah Jazz (USA-NBA, 2009), Utah Flash (USA-NBDL, 2008-09), Utah Jazz (USA-NBA, 2009-...)

As Nick Calathes, Kostas Koufos is the child of Greek parents who immigrated to the USA. At 2.16 m, Koufos was a man amongst boys during the 2007 U18 European Championship Men in Spain where he led Greece into the final, averaging 26.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game. Serbia beat Koufos and Co. in the gold medal game, but he still earned tournament MVP honours. Having decided to turn professional following his freshman season at Ohio State, Kostas had a decent first season with the Utah Jazz and will now try to make the step up to Greece's senior team. At Ohio State, Koufos averaged 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game. Koufos is in the early stages of his development and could turn into the focal point of Greece for years to come. While he will do a lot of damage inside, Koufos already has the ability to step outside and make jump shots.
