Timofey Mozgov had his coming out party this season in Khimki's oversized roster. He has provided very valuable minutes to the team. Before 2008-09, Mozgov had struggled to be efficient, as he had mainly played in the Russian second division. The late bloomer is now considered as one of the top Russian centers in the SuperLeague, and has helped Khimki to reach the final of the EuroCup. Despite 11 points and nine rebounds, he couldn't prevent his team from losing against Lietuvos rytas in the final game. He has also shown great shot-blocking abilities, finishing second amongst Eurocup players in blocked shots.
