Born on August 15, 1978, Yannis Kalambokis (also translated into Kalabokis in Latin alphabet), has never played with the national team, although he's nothing like the new kid on the block. Yannis had a solid but unflashy career, staying with Faliro, in the second Greek division, until he was 25. As he was averaging 15.6 points per game, he received an offer from Olimpiakos, where he spent two years between 2003 and 2005, but mostly on the bench. After that, Yannis was steady around 10 points per game, while playing with AEK, PAOK and Panionios for the past two years. He is a very good finisher, never forcing a shot, however. Payment problems with Panionios last season led him into signing for Benetton Treviso in May 2009. He'll remain in Lega next year.
