Team 2008-09: OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER (USA-NBA)
Career: Partizan Beograd (Serbia-Superleague, 2001-04), New Jersey Nets (USA-NBA, 2004-08), Triumph Lyubertsy (Russia-Superleague, 2008-09)
An eventful past few seasons for the big man who was instrumental in an impressive qualification campaign for the national team, finishing as both the leading scorer and rebounder. Having left the NBA last summer for the Russian Superleague, the seven footer didn't last long in Europe and was quickly Stateside again having signed for the Thunder at the turn of the year where he subsequently posted respectable numbers for the NBA strugglers. Looks to be putting the injury problems experienced during his time with the Nets behind him and while unlikely to ever hit the heights of the 16 points plus per game before his major injury in 2006, he remains a potentially dominant big man in this tournament. With his confidence back, the center can be a major weapon for Serbia who will be looking to utilise his plentiful skills in the post, including his passing which could feed an impressive line-up of shooters.
