Team 2008-09: TORONTO RAPTORS (USA - NBA)
Career: Split (Croatia-A1, 1999-2005), TAU Ceramica (Spain-Liga ACB, 2005-06), F.C. Barcelona (Spain-Liga ACB, 2006-07), Lottomatica Roma (Italy-Lega, 2007-08).
After his rookie season in the big league it is fair to say that he is still feeling his way into the NBA and still getting his feet wet. However, rather impressively he managed to average double digits in minutes and that was more than he and everyone else was expecting. Indeed his underwhelming Euroleague stats had led many to believe he might struggle in Toronto as a back up guard but he has shown glimpses of brilliance and has had the size to be efficient defensively. While still an explosive scorer going to the hoop, and a reliable decision maker, his past twelve months have exposed a serious flaw in his game - his outside shooting. Awful in the Olympics last summer and barely much better during his season with the Raptors, it is something he needs to work on. However his overall talent and ability to lead this Croatian team is unquestionable and he will be the main man as the only NBA player on the roster.
