Team 2008-09: EFES PILSEN ISTANBUL (Turkey-TBL)
Career: Media Velika Gorica (Croatia-A-2, 1996-97), Zrinjevac (Croatia, A-1, 1997-2000), Gonzaga University (USA-NCAA, 2000-02), Cologne (Germany-1. Bundesliga, 2002), Frankfurt Skyliners (Germany-1. Bundesliga, 2002-04), Orlando Magic (NBA, 2004-2006), AXA F.C. Barcelona (Spain-Liga ACB, 2006-08).
Hugely talented but a career that has never taken off due to a lengthy list of factors, most linked by poor luck with injuries. Thankfully for Croatia, Kasun seems to have had a few months of stability, winning a regular season title and play-off championship in Turkey and could be back and ready to have the same kind of influence he had back in 2007 after missing the Olympics last summer. A great body, his physical presence is his one big advantage, as is his aggressive style, even if he can't match it with more refined skills. The prospect of him sharing time with Vujcic is a major one and if fit, healthy and focused, Kasun could do some serious damage in this tournament.
