Patrick Femerling finally changed his mind and decided to join the National Team. One of the most experienced big men in Europe, he has played for basketball powerhouses like F.C. Barcelona, Olympiakos Pireus and Panathinaikos Athens. At age 34 he is facing the end of a successful career, but "Pat" is still capable of playing decent minutes. He missed most of the last season with Alba Berlin because of an injury, but he will try to help Germany in Poland. His knee-high socks are still his signature as is his high percentage mid-range game. Even if he doesn't produce superstar numbers, he helps everybody around just with his presence and vocal leadership.
