The use of FIBA Europe's Digital ScoreSheet has once again proved to be a great asset in EuroBasket 2009.
In the Qualifying Round game between Serbia and Turkey a put back following a missed shot was ruled too late thanks to the technology that FIBA Europe has developed.
In last night's game, again featuring Turkey, the referees were able to make the correct decision thanks to the replay system with the DSS. You can watch the relevant video by clicking here.
All of the referees participating in the tournament as well as the teams have been able to analyse their performance with the use of the play-by-play facility within the DSS. Most of the teams have now been able to see first hand how the DSS can assist in their breakdown of team or opponents play.
In other games, possible errors on the scoresheet have also been avoided with the use of the DSS.
Two continental championships have now been able to reap the benefits of this project, EuroBasket and the Tournament of Americas.
