    Henrik Dettmann, Finland coach:

"This was a great team victory for us. There's really no need for motivating the guys when you are playing against players of this calibre. This kind of victories are not an everyday-thing for Finnish basketball. We look at these qualifiers as a great learning experience - first we learn to play against these big countries and hopefully in time we will learn to really challenge them on a regular basis. This was a great win and now we head to Italy hungry for more."

    Teemu Rannikko, Finland player:

"The transcript in my head was exactly the same like in the game against Italy when I missed the game-winning-shot. Only that the actor failed to perform accordingly back then. I had a rough time with my shots in the first half, but in the locker room the guys told me to keep shooting. The shots started to fall finally, but you have to give credit to Hanno (Möttölä) who kept us in the game in the first 20 minutes, and to Petteri (Koponen) who did a great job guarding Tony Parker, and Petri (Virtanen) who made some big shots. This has got to be the sweetest victory of my National Team career."

    Hanno Möttölä, Finland captain:

"We needed this - winning after playing a good game. We weren't ready for them in our first meeting in Pau, but this time our defense didn't give them anything for free. And we also did well at rebounding the ball against a very athletic and strong French team. "

    Antoine Diot, France player:

"It was a very difficult game tonight. And we made it difficult for ourselves. Finland played a perfect game. Möttölä, Rannikko and Koponen found the way to the rim at the end and they won with their heart. We were not aggressive enough in defense and did not move the ball enough in offense."
