Serbia travelled to Hungary on Saturday night and thrashed their hosts 89-61 to move into first place in EuroBasket qualifying Group A.

With two games remaining, Dusan Ivkovic´s men are 5-1 and looking good bets to clinch top spot and earn direct passage to next year´s final round in Poland.

Uros Tripkovic led the Blues with 20 points. He had the hot hand all game, making eight of 10 shots from the floor, including four of five from three-point range.

Serbia took command in the second quarter and stormed to a convincing triumph.

Ivkovic´s team dominated the boards out-rebounding the Hungarians 41 to 32.

The visitors finished 24 of 42 (57.1%) inside the arc.

Serbia will now look to avenge their only defeat when they face Finland on Wednesday while Hungary will attempt to regroup and try to avoid falling into the Relegation Round.
